Quickly I found out what kind of a manga it was. A high-school kid as the main character.. can't be good. So anyway I read slightly more and what do I get? time travel and superpowers called PSI. A little bit later the whole cast has been counted for and they travel back and forth the present and the future.
The story's heroes |
A man called Nemesis Q decides when they go to the future, by calling their cellphones. If the participants don't answer their phone the ringing will just get louder and louder, enough to drive someone insane(?).
Nemesis Q |
After a few rounds of Nemesis Q's game they find out that the future they are at is Japan 10 years from the present.
By a game I mean that each time the get called to the future, they land near the starting point, which is a public phone, from the phone they get a map and the finishing point, also a public phone that is located within a range of 2 miles(?) of the starting point. Once they get to the phone and insert their "Psyren calling card" in to the phone they are transferred back to the present.
Psyren calling card |
The card is something each of the "players" obtained one way or another and at some point used it at a
public phone and answered the questions. The card has 50 points once its used for the first time. Each round removes an uncertain amount of points. The amount of points removed depends on the difficulty and distance of the round.
What makes the rounds difficult are things called tavoo, tavoo are creatures our antagonist have created and are still making. They are designed to kill the survivors of the fated day(?) when the world was basically taken over.
Well I have reached chapter 52 out of 145 and this is what I have learned about the plot line.
I wouldn't call it the most interesting manga, but I guess it's readable.
But I guess I'm done ranting about Psyren for now atleast
